About Dallas
Our Dallas service area focuses on the northern and inner neighborhoods where our response times are strongest: Uptown, Lower Greenville, Lakewood, M Streets, University Park, Highland Park, Preston Hollow, North Dallas, Galleria corridor, and Far North Dallas toward the LBJ Freeway.nnDallas is the most architecturally varied city we serve. Inner neighborhoods like Lakewood, M Streets, and Uptown contain homes from the 1920s through 1950s with genuine old-growth cast-iron drain systems, lead or galvanized supply pipe, and clay sewer lines that are now 70–100 years old. Preston Hollow and University Park have a mix of post-war construction and modern rebuilds. Far North Dallas (75248, 75229, 75240) is largely 1970s–1990s slab construction on Blackland Prairie clay.nnDallas Water Utilities supplies moderately hard water. Inner-city homes with older pipe systems experience accelerated corrosion from water chemistry and pipe age acting together.
